Obito moved it all to the table and then slid a chair out for Itachi, and went and perched on the other. He waited for his cousin to get a serving and then helped himself, though he wasn't particularly planning on eating. It was just nice to be part of the meal, a bit.

Itachi... clearly had a large appetite, starting with a decidedly generous helping once he was settled. "It smells good."

"Hmph. Well, let me know if it's palatable." He leaned forward on the table, stirring his own helping around a few times but mostly watching Itachi.

He took the first bite and then gave a happy affirmative hum before attacking it with manners, but incredibly fast all the same.

That was satisfying. So he could cook. Good to know. That was at least one skill he had that had absolutely nothing at all to do with killing anyone. He just lounged and turned his gaze away, relaxing.

When he'd finished his first portion he took a glance at Obito before promptly collecting more. Leftovers were truly a foreign concept around him.

Obito huffed a small laugh and then pushed his own bowl across the table. "You really were hungry."

He flushed slightly, but accepted the food. "I did say I'm always hungry. It's been like that since I started with chakra."

[mooneye]

"So you burn a lot of energy." He hummed, thinking about that. "It wasn't ever any different for me."

[youngesthokage]

"Before that I just got tired all the time so this is better, really."

[mooneye]

"I remember that." He played with the spoon at his side, balancing it up on its end. "When you were a kid, how you'd get... worn out, like that."

[youngesthokage]

"I just did." He hitched up a shoulder. "Everything tired me. Apparently growing my chakra pool helped. Made it so I had more to live off of I suppose."

[mooneye]

"Makes sense." He nodded, then was quiet as he thought for a moment. "What's the last thing... before I was missing, I mean. What's the last thing you remember us doing together?"

He closed his eyes a moment to think about it. "You helped me with my hold on shuriken then we got cookies."

[mooneye]

He thought back. He did remember that. Though it was a memory very much like many others. "You were such a good child," he mused.

He paused, looking over at him before finishing the last bit of food. "I suppose I was."

He watched him and then just kept watching him, thinking, before he got to his feet and starting taking what was finished over to the sink and running water over it.

He blinked and followed with his last plate, offering it. "I can wash those. You didn't even really eat any of it, after all."

[mooneye]

He stepped back, letting him get to the sink if he wanted to. "I don't eat. I haven't needed to since that rock, and everything." He paused. "I like the smells. And I could I guess, if I wanted to, but I usually don't bother."

He hummed, then moved to start cleaning everything. "All the more reason not to have you clean up after me then."

Obito hummed. He certainly didn't mind getting out of the cleaning. He watched for a moment and then retreated to the room beyond the kitchen area, thought for a moment and then began plucking books from the shelves. He sat on the edge of the bed with them, flipping through their pages, trying to find the most entertaining one.

It was a little while before he came over to him, watching him with the books for a moment before moving to set about stripping, putting the clothes in a neat pile on the dresser.

His gaze slipped up from the page he was looking at, and he watched. Struck again by the femaleness of the form, and the Uchiha loveliness.

Once he was bare, he padded over to the bed to crawl under the covers, putting his hair tie on the side table. He decided not to comment on the staring.

Ohhh, this was going to be difficult. But potentially quite nice. So. He waited before stripping his own shirt off, leaving the pants. He took the book that he thought might prove most distracting with him as he slid under the blankets as well.
