"Only like this." He parted a last snag in it and scooped water up over his face, effectively scrubbing down from there to his neck, his shoulders and arms.

"....No wonder it looks like that. I had been genuinely uncertain if that was just coarse spiking or tangles." He leaned forward, taking a wet lock between his fingers. "I hadn't -thought- you had coarse hair, and you don't."

He watched him fingering the long, wet piece of hair. "Nah." He smiled and shook his head, and kept scrubbing clean more slowly, finishing up. "There's just a lot of it, and it gets mashed up like that."

He frowned, then moved so he was perched on the edge of the tub instead so he could start picking through the tangles. "If you have it you should take better care of it Obito-nii-sama."

He stilled, looking over his shoulder to see what Itachi was doing and then relaxing.

"We'll give it a proper brushing after this, I have one." He frowned as he realized that he was rather awkwardly braced on the tub edge and then just slid into the water, satisfied when ti made it that much easier to get at the other man's hair.

He looked back again, a little surprised, but moved to make their new position more comfortable. Not too difficult. It was a big, deep tub. He waited a moment and then leaned forward enough to pull the faucet back on. Might as well fill it higher and hotter.

Itachi let him do what he pleased, as he'd rather invited himself in honestly, but his hair! Obito's poor hair desperately needed the attention and the bath was the easiest place to handle the majority of the tangling.

He was enjoying the attention, resting with elbows on knees and arms folded, head leaning forward a bit as he just paid attention to the murmur of the water from the tap and tugging and tickling of the fingers working through his hair. He had let it get longer than he realized--he hadn't stopped to notice much about it in a while.

"...Do you brush yours often?"

"Every day when I'm not on a mission or something similar." It was a murmur as he carefully worked his fingers through the strands. "This has to hit your knees untangled."

[mooneye]

"Is it that long...?" He glanced over his shoulder again, frowning at it. Hard to tell. He turned to sit straight again. "Every day seems like a little much."

"If your hair were still as short as when I was a child. Yes."

"Well, how was I supposed to know?" That made him smile. He reached again for the faucet and turned the water off, judging the tub filled enough.

"I know you've never actually been stupid Obito-nii." His tone was a scold, and he huffed softly.

[mooneye]

"Hmph. Well, let's keep that between you and me. You have no idea how useful being thought of as an idiot when you aren't can be." He waited until he thought Itachi had more or less finished with his hair and then shifted and turned. "Slide in front of me," he suggested.

[youngesthokage]

He blinked, then moved so he was in front of him. "Am I turning around?"

"So I can get your back." It only seemed fair. Since he probably never would have gotten most of those snarls out on his own.

[youngesthokage]

He nodded and turned around, sweeping his hair forward as he did.

[mooneye]

He pressed his fingers to the nape of his neck and just passed them down lightly, tracing his spine. "You're pale," he commented. Though of course he was. All their people were. Still, the milky expanse of bare skin was interesting to him.

He arched a little, surprised by the gesture before he stilled, flushing at the reaction. It wasn't as though he didn't get touched, honestly. "I tend to wear long sleeves."

[mooneye]

"Ah." He paused a moment and then scooped water up along the slender back, and began to press and rub his hands along his damp shoulders and neck.

He leaned slowly back into his hands, letting his eyes close. "I get cold easily, that's all."

[mooneye]

"The weather here is colder than I thought it would be," he commented. "Not like in Shimo... but still." He hesitated a moment but, well. There had been talk of a back rub. He pressed his thumbs more deeply into the muscles, rocked his palms into the spots that felt tense between the shoulders.

He shivered, sinking down a bit as he relaxed under the touch. "Not used to it any more though?"

[mooneye]

"No, I like it. It's easier to bundle up with gloves and a mask and everything if I need to, in cold weather." And he passed his hands down his spine, along the subtle indentations of his ribs, under the water to the small of his back.
