He just looked at him. "But that's not the same," he said quietly, like it was obvious. And to him, it was. "You've never enjoyed it."

"How are you so sure of that Obito-nii?" His voice was soft, and he watched him with intent eyes.

[mooneye]

Obito watched him back just as closely, and the shift in his expression revealed only that he wasn't sure, now. And he was more curious than surprised, but didn't press immediately for details.

He sighed out a soft breath, reaching up and running his thumb over his empty eye, eyes contemplative. "I was involved in the purge. I didn't stand back and let others handle it. There were people I looked for, specifically."

[mooneye]

He drew a breath and held it for a few beats as the empty eye was touched. But he was curious about this. An event that--if he had been around for it--he would have been a part of as well. "And when you killed them, it was good?" he asked.

He tilted his head. He wouldn't describe it as good. He wasn't -happy- about it, even then but... "Satisfying."

[mooneye]

He was quiet a while, watching him to see if he seemed to mean it and then nodding. He saw him as a little child that needed protection still, he thought. Of course that wasn't the case anymore. Not really.

"I may not relish killing for killing's sake... but I'm not an innocent anymore Obito-nii."

[mooneye]

He nodded and then reached and touched his cheek, brushing fingers and thumb against the skin. "In this world, I suppose that's for the best."

He turned his face into the touch. "I'm sorry if that disappoints you."

[mooneye]

He laughed, brushing his hand against his hair as well. "Actually, I'm relieved."

[youngesthokage]

He blinked and raised an eyebrow. "Really?"

[mooneye]

"Sure. You're safer this way, yeah? So I can only be grateful for it."

[youngesthokage]

He blinked, then flushed a little. "Yes, I am, that's definitely true."

[mooneye]

Obito sighed and then sort of lounged forward, draping against him, setting his chin on Itachi's shoulder.

[youngesthokage]

He made a small noise of shock, then wrapped his arm around his back. "Comfortable?"

[mooneye]

"Yes." He kind of leaned, still draping, to lie them both back against the couch.

[youngesthokage]

He went with the tug, settling once they were down and looking at him. "I never finished your hair."

[mooneye]

"You can finish it later." He shifted and moved around until he was comfortable where they lay, holding onto him. Then tensed, stretching slowly, and relaxed again.

[youngesthokage]

He huffed a soft breath and shifted until he was comfortable, not liking too much pressure against his belly, and he closed his eyes. "There are better places to sprawl out."

[mooneye]

"This is cozy." He twists his neck to look sort of upside-down at the bed, though.

[youngesthokage]

"This has the potential for being highly uncomfortable in a short span of time." He noted the look and quirked his lips.

[mooneye]

"Hmph." He slid off the couch, lowering himself with an arm and a leg then whisking up to his feet. He experimentally ran his fingers through his hair once he was standing. How strange, no snags.

[youngesthokage]

He ended up with a leg tucked under himself laying not quite on his belly as he huffed softly. "If you're moving come back here so I can get the last part."

[mooneye]

After finger-combing it a few more times he lowers himself back down, sitting on the floor with his back to the couch and pulling his hair around so that it is reachable.
